It was incorporated and registered as a limited liability company on 15 October 1862. Branch banking operations commenced in January 1863 in Port Elizabeth. A feature which distinguished the Imperial banks like Standard Bank from the local private banks was the establishment of a branch network. In 1881 the bank&#8217;s Memorandum of Association was altered to enable it to operate in areas outside British jurisdiction and in 1883 the word \u201cBritish\u201d was dropped from its title. The bank was henceforth known as The Standard Bank of South Africa, Limited.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Direct Sales Agents (New Business Acquirers)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To provide frontline sales service to New To Bank (NTB) personal clients and to ensure onboarding and education on digital services available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\/ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mandate<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage New \u2013 to- bank(NTB) potential and prospective clients via direct selling to target segment, leads sourced from Alliances and senior executives with full personal and business banking offering<\/li>\n<li>Activate NTB clients acquired on digital &amp; alternate channels before handing over clients to assigned branch.<\/li>\n<li>Do not manage the client relationship beyond acquisition &amp; activation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Product Offering<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Personal &amp; Business banking products ie, Assets, Liability &amp; Insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Meet, cross &amp; deep sell (face-2-face)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet in person ( conduct face-2-face interaction with clients in their offices or outside branch network)<\/li>\n<li>Conduct needs base conversation to determine suitable financial solution to address clients\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Acquire clients and cross \u2013 sell other solutions to increase PPC<\/li>\n<li>Address KYC needs<\/li>\n<li>Educate and conduct initial set up for digital banking and alternate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0degree in any discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year sales experience preferably insurance sales, FMCG or sale of financial products<\/li>\n<li>Excellent sales track record.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in multiple product sales an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excellent objection handling experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE\/TECHNICAL SKILLS\/EXPERTISE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Computer literacy, MS Outlook, Word, Excel<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Standard Bank of British South Africa, Limited was established and its Memorandum of Association signed in London on 13 October 1862.
