\nResearching and assessing how well risk management processes are working and recording the results using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
\nProviding ad hoc advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, sometimes by delivering courses and training sessions;
\nPerforming risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what to cover in audits;
\nAnticipating emerging issues through research and interviews and deciding how best to deal with them;
\nProviding support and guidance to management on how to handle new opportunities;
\nAgreeing recommendations with relevant staff members to make improvements to operations and helping to secure backing for them in meetings;
\nPreparing reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the relevant people;
\nAssessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management whether any issues need addressing;
\nManaging a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.
\nPrepare and present reports that reflect audit\u2019s results and document process
\nAct as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
\nIdentify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
\nMaintain open communication with management and audit committee
\nDocument process and prepare audit findings memorandum
\nConduct follow up audits to monitor management\u2019s interventions
\nEngage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector\u2019s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards<\/p>\n
\nDegree Holder\/ Chartered Accountant
\nA minimum of 3 years work experience in a practicing firm
\nOr three years\u2019 experience as an Internal Auditor in a multinational Environment<\/p>\n
\nAnalytical thinking and attention to detail.
\nAbility to work effectively on your own and as part of a team.
\nStrong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
\nAbility to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgment.
\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal.
\nOrganization and facilitation skills.
\nResilience under pressure.
\nFlexible thinking and ability to adapt to change.
\nPerform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations\u2019 effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
\nDetermine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
\nObtain, analyses and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc<\/p>\n
\nBe respectful.
