The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is a voluntary, not for profit organization that undertakes advocacy and service delivery in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Ghana. PPAG is a Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It is governed by respectable volunteers who are the members of the Association. \nReport To: Zonal Manager<\/p>\n
\nPPAG believes in Child and Vulnerable Adults\u2019 protection policy<\/p>\n
\nProvide SRH education\/information to patients and clients
\nTake charge of the Midwifery Unit
\nAssist in providing Family Planning counselling, HIV\/AIDS management and treatment of STI\u2019s and Post Abortion Care
\nAssist in managing emergency clinical cases.
\nAssist in providing curative and preventive health services in the clinic.
\nEnsure the efficient use of clinical equipment and resources.
\nRefer cases to the appropriate facility, if necessary.
\nAssist in ensuring that clinical reports are collated and submitted as required<\/p>\n
\nAssist in the supervision and ensuring the effective implementation of BCC activities in the clinic and the community
\nEnsure that clients rights are adhered to
\nPrepare and follow an effective referral system, where necessary
\nCollate and analyze service statistics
\nLiaise with other nurses and midwives to ensure that clinical standards are adhered to
\nAttend meetings and training programmes as may be required.
\nRequired Skills or Experience
\nA State Registered Midwifery
\nAdditional higher qualification in related field will be an added advantage
\nA minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience, 3 of which must be in a similar position.<\/p>\n
\nMust have very good interpersonal, communication, report writing and presentation skills
\nMust be honest, transparent, reliable and duty-conscious
\nMust be very accommodative
\nHigh sense of responsibility, humour, be non- judgmental and able to take initiatives
\nMust be a team player and self-motivated
\nMust be able to work for long hours and sometimes due to workload under pressure
\nHave excellent human relations skills and be youth friendly.
\nAbility to source for information and determine new strategies for enhanced performance
\nMust be able to work with little or no supervision
\nAbility to travel at short notices<\/p>\n
\nPeople living with HIV\/AIDS are eligible and encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n
