Opoku Ware School, often referred to as OWASS, is a senior high school for boys in the Ashanti region of Ghana. It was established in 1952, as one of the five Catholic schools in Ghana that year. The school was named after Asante King Opoku Ware I. The students are known collectively as Akatakyie, an Asante word meaning “conquering heroes”. It is located in Fankyenebra, near Santasi, along the Kumasi-Obuasi road.<\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Alumni Office Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Draft the annual programs\/activities line up of the Association in consultation with the Executive Council and Opoku Ware School
\n\u2022 Generate weekly, monthly and annual statements on expenditure, dues and pledges redeemed for the executive council
\n\u2022 Manage relationship between Alumni, Opoku Ware School, vendors and service providers to ensure all items are invoiced, all deadlines are met and payments made on time.
\n\u2022 Liaise with the Executive Council and Opoku Ware School to ensure the association\u2019s programmes are appropriately scheduled and organised so as not to conflict with the Opoku Ware School\u2019s\u00a0programme intended for the Alumni
\n\u2022 Plan and organise the Association\u2019s programmes, meetings and events in consultation with Executive Council and appropriate staff of Opoku Ware School
\n\u2022 Manage the Association\u2019s social media platforms and website
\n\u2022 Responsible for the dissemination of all information to the Alumni through phone calls, emails, sms and the Association\u2019s social meid platforms subject to approval from NEC through the Secretary
\n\u2022 Ensure Alumni pay their annual dues and pledges on time
\n\u2022 Be available to collect Alumni dues and provide assistance to Alumni
\n\u2022 Record all office expenditure and manage budgets
\n\u2022 Provide and put together contents for the association\u2019s newsletter and all activities
\n\u2022 Manage utilities, ensure prompt payment of bills and maintain payment records
\n\u2022 Ensure a professional environment on a day-to-day basis and
\n\u2022 Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Council which are associated with the Association and are in line with the Labour laws of the country<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Minimum a Degree holder with a least 3 years work experience
\n\u2022 At least, 1 year work experience in Alumni relations
\n\u2022 Reliability, discretion and confidentiality
\n\u2022 Communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
\n\u2022 Organizational and event management skills
\n\u2022 IT and budgeting skills
\n\u2022 Attention to detail, problem solving and initiative skills
\n\u2022 Leadership and ability to \u201cmake things happen\u201d<\/p>\n
