Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Central & West Africa Area HSSE & Claims Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n HSSE:<\/p>\n \u2022 Manage all HSSE matters within the area in accordance to Damco standards. Claims :<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 To handle, assist, support and monitor cargo claims, claims handling, legal disputes, negotiations, dispute resolution and settlements in co-operation with the relevant internal stakeholders. Facilitate speedy communication to customers and internal and external stakeholders when necessary. \n\u2022 Supporting implementation of minimum HSSE standards and culture in warehouses, particularly WND facilities
\n\u2022 Liaise with countries and local management to implement HSSE standards and requirements.
\n\u2022 Be an active participant within the Damco HSSE management team.
\n\u2022 Roll out Damco HSSE training within your area.
\n\u2022 Have oversight of area H&S legal compliance.
\n\u2022 Produce area HSSE documentation based on Damco global HSSE documents.
\n\u2022 Security Point of Contact for local Clients and Authorities.
\n\u2022 Conducts HSSE risk assessments and ensure corrective and preventive measures are undertaken.
\n\u2022 Periodic review of country HSSE documentation.
\n\u2022 Investigates, analyses and reviews all Health & Safety incidents, Near Misses, and local security incidents.
\n\u2022 Escalate major security incidents to Region HSSE Manager.
\n\u2022 Audit subcontractors & follow-up to ensure adequate performance
\n\u2022 Providing support for commercial and compliance efforts<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Execute on procedures to make recoveries more efficient, building a rapport with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring success and improvement of initiatives.
\n\u2022 Handle larger incident related claims, assisting on strategies, coordinating with third parties (non-customers) and ensuring effective, time-sensitive processing.<\/p>\n
