Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Country Manager – Ghana & Burkina Faso<\/strong><\/p>\n A successful career will include a variety of experiences that stretch you, bring you out of your comfort zone and offer you an opportunity to learn and grow in ways that also build our business.<\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Holds direct P&L responsibility for all Damco business activities in Ghana and Burkina<\/p>\n \u2022 Accountable to manage, develop and expand the Damco business, providing direction and leadership to ensure profitable growth with satisfactory cash flow<\/p>\n \u2022 Establish operations that deliver industry leading service standards that facilitate market leadership in target sectors<\/p>\n \u2022 Optimize the utilization of business assets and human resources in accordance with the Damco business strategy and local business environment<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate effectively with all relevant internal and external parties for the best interests of the DAMCO organization and the APMM group as a whole<\/p>\n \u2022 Develop personal relationships with key strategic clients to ensure business retention and growth and to act as a focal point for client escalations if necessary<\/p>\n \u2022 Enable and facilitate the provision of services that meet or exceed customer expectations<\/p>\n \u2022 Provide leadership and management of the Damco team in Ghana and Burkina, driving strategy execution and product management whilst ensuring high employee morale and motivation<\/p>\n \u2022 Work with area stakeholders to agree business targets, discuss performance and understand local market dynamics<\/p>\n \u2022 Represent and promote Damco with all necessary local trade associations, government and regulatory bodies<\/p>\n \u2022 Lead the annual business planning and budgeting processes to develop aggressive but realistic plans that support the agreed strategies and targets<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure that appropriate operational, commercial and financial KPI\u2019s are employed across the business to provide timely and effective reporting to support day-to-day management of the business<\/p>\n \u2022 Drive strategic investments in the area to support the continued growth, profitability and sustainability of the business<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure the financial well-being of the company from a legal, statutory and group perspective<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure all global and regional policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to<\/p>\n \u2022 Portray a positive culture within the Damco Office which promotes continuous improvement, incorporating Maersk Values<\/p>\n \u2022 Focus your efforts on tasks that will ultimately result in improvements to performance in the key priority areas of: Profitability, Employee engagement, Customer satisfaction, Growth, Productivity, DSO and Operational Excellence<\/p>\n \u2022 Conduct customer visits as required.
