PEG\u2019s anchor product \u2013 a basic solar home system that includes three lights, a phone charger and a radio \u2013 allows consumers living on $5-10 per day to access clean light for working and studying after hours, avoid harmful air pollution from kerosene based lighting solutions, and also build credit for additional products and services over time.<\/p>\n

\nPEG has grown from 12 employees in Ghana, to 200+ employees across Ghana and Ivory Coast in the last two years. In addition to this, we have 200+ commission based sales agents, 31+ service centers in Ghana, and over a dozen investors and grantors.
\nWorking closely with the Finance manager, the Finance Associate will support PEG\u2019s financial operations to ensure that they are in line with internal and external policies and regulations. The Finance Associate will help in maintaining growth and better serve PEG by providing excellent finance support to the operating teams<\/p>\n
\nProvide daily reports on cash position and weekly cash expenditure forecast
\nVerifying, checking supporting documentation expenses claims
\nProcessing expenses claims transactions once paid
\nConverting transactions into our recording currency where appropriate
\nPrepare monthly schedules, including debtors and creditors, and\u00a0Establish chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts
\nMaintain financial security by following internal control procedures
\nReconcile any discrepancies or errors identified; resolving coding allocation issues
\nSubstantiate financial transactions by checking the appropriateness of support documents
\nMatch invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly<\/p>\n
\nSuggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
\nAssist in month end closing
\nMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
\nAdhere to PEG\u2019s financial policies and procedures<\/p>\n
\nThe successful candidate must have:
\nBSc. in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or any related field
\n2 years working experience in an accounting field or position
\nCompetent in the use of Microsoft office packages
