Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Sales Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsible for achieving hotel targets by optimising revenues through an assigned account base, as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets. Assigned markets may change according to hotel needs. The key measurement of performance will be performance versus the Revenue goals.<\/p>\n

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City – Accra is the only five-star luxury hotel offering state of the art meeting facilities and services in the city. Conveniently located in the downtown area and in close proximity to the State House, the Accra International Conference Centre and the National Theatre. The property has 269 luxury rooms (largest room size in Accra), 24 suites, a variety of F&B offerings as well as large conference facilities and the largest SPA in West Africa (opening soon), a perfect mix of categories to meet the needs of both corporate and conference visitors to the country<\/p>\n

OVERALL OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 The job of Sales Manager is executed satisfactorily when:
\n\u2022 The Hotel achieves its Financial Objectives.
\n\u2022 The Sales Team that the person works with achieves their Revenue Objectives.
\n\u2022 The person achieves their Personal Objectives.
\n\u2022 The TTTT is carried out to the satisfaction of both the Director of Sales \/ Director of Sales & Marketing.<\/p>\n

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Responsible for key account management on an assigned account base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
\n\u2022 Responsible for prospecting new accounts.
\n\u2022 Responsible for all segments of assigned geographical markets, which may include, but not be exclusively limited to European markets.
\n\u2022 Conduct site inspections.
\n\u2022 Adhere to the Corporate SOP\u2019s.
\n\u2022 Follow up of tentative bookings in the assigned markets.
\n\u2022 Detailed knowledge of competitor set.
\n\u2022 Detailed knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of hotel.
\n\u2022 Responsible for timely contracting from the client base responsible for.
\n\u2022 SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
\n\u2022 Attend trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, etc. in the assigned markets.
\n\u2022 Assist the Director of Sales \/ Director of Sales & Marketing in defining an annual sales action plan and execute set actions accordingly.
\n\u2022 Assist the Director of Sales \/ Director of Sales & Marketing with the preparation of the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions.
\n\u2022 Execute sales actions within set cost budget structure.
\n\u2022 Document all sales actions in SFA (S&C).
\n\u2022 Update OPERA contact database at all times.
\n\u2022 Cross sell other Kempinski Hotels.
\n\u2022 Understand, and follow the Company Sales Vision.
\n\u2022 Participation in Duty Manager rota.
\n\u2022 Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel\u2019s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
\n\u2022 Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
\n\u2022 Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.<\/p>\n

EDUCATION: Degree in Sales and Marketing or it’s equivalent.<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience in a Sales position, preferably in a 4\/5 star hotel.<\/p>\n

LANGUAGE: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment:
\n\u2022 English \u2013 excellent oral and written skills
\n\u2022 Additional language – beneficial<\/p>\n
