\nThe security guard is responsible for ensuring all laid down security and safety procedures are adhered to in the course of duties.<\/p>\n
\nConduct day and night security patrols of the school premises and school residential homes as directed by supervisor
\nEnsure maximum security and safety of school premises during patrols and surveillance.
\nObserve diligently and report any irregularities or breach of security through the appropriate laid down channels
\nGuard the entry to school premises diligently and ensure all visitors to the campus meet all laid down security checks
\nRestrain where necessary trespassers using the appropriate laid down procedures
\nWork side by side with contracted security guards and ensure the highest standards of security and surveillance are adhered to at all times
\nControl school traffic and parking within laid down procedures. Ensure the highest standards of health and safety is maintained at all times
\nTo propose and implement appropriate systems under the direction of the Supervisor
\nContribute to any investigation of suspicious activities or safety and security violations, accidents, suspected thefts\/losses and ensure appropriate records
\nResponsible for keeping a log book and activity reports
\nCarries out security checks of persons on campus and school premises for identification, authorization, information and movements.
\nHave an understanding of procedures for any type of emergency and respond in a timely manner to emergency events
\nAny other duties commensurate with the role as may be assigned by supervisor.<\/p>\n
\nProven experience of night guard patrols
\nProven ability to work effectively with staff, students, parents, school administration and local law enforcement representatives.
\nGood written and verbal communication
\nAbility to read and write proficiently<\/p>\n
\nQualification\/training in security desirable
\nClean driving license ( Class C)
\nConditions of work
\nYou will be required to work outside normal working hours.
\nYou will be required to work on a shift system
\nTasks are regularly performed with some risk of exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, traffic
\nhazards and possible violence.<\/p>\n
