\nTo provide effective leadership and management of the school, staff, pupils, premises and resources.
\nThe Head Teacher will perform duties to support growth and development of the school. The position is responsible to the Director<\/p>\n
\nThe core purpose of the Head Teacher is to provide professional leadership and management for the school, to promote a secure foundation from which to achieve high standards in all areas of our school\u2019s work. Working with the director to develop a team that has the necessary skills and knowledge. The head teacher has the responsibility for raising the quality of teaching and learning for pupil\u2019s achievements within a successful learning environment, and to develop effective relationships and communication with parents to promote a professional learning environment.<\/p>\n
\nRecommend and review curriculum for the various stages in the school
\nEffectively manage teaching and learning by reviewing lesson notes, class and homework, teaching methods, etc.
\nPromote excellence and high expectations for all pupils
\nProvide leadership and direction
\nBuild capacity of teachers and attendants
\nEvaluate school performance and identify priorities for continuous improvement
\nCarry out day to day management, supervision and administration required for a functioning educational institution<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of first degree in Education or related Social Sciences with not less than 5 years\u2019 experience teaching or managing a school.
\nQualification as a trained teacher with Montessori teaching skills from a recognized institution is desirable.
\nMust have evidence of application of modern teaching skills
\nComputer literate in Ms Word, Excel, and Publisher
\nAbility to research and train
\nDemonstrated capacity to lead a team
\nGood writing and communication skills<\/p>\n
