\nThe SSH Inspector will be coordinating all Safety, Security, and Health aspects of the works. His duties will include, but will not be limited to, taking particular responsibility for:
\nDaily site inspections and on the job coaching and training
\nIdentify and report all sub-standard acts, conditions and situations
\nFollow up and close out on agreed actions derived from observations reported.
\nConduct Monthly Audits and Inspections as per AECOM Safety and Health Plan.
\nFollow up on audit deviations and audit close out.
\nCo-ordination of weekly reports from all contractors on site.
\nCo-ordination of all monthly reports from all Contractors on site
\nMonitor Plant and Equipment on site, ensuring compliance to pre-use inspection checklists and Competencies of Drivers and Equipment.
\nMonitor incident reporting and investigations.
\nCarry out incident investigations from the PMC side.
\nFollow up on remedial action plans developed during incident investigations.
\nPrepare Training Material.
\nPresent site inductions.
\nMaintain a stock of Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, on Site for AECOM Project staff and Visitors.
\nTake minutes on Safety, Security, and Health Management meetings on site.
\nPerform other duties as directed by the AECOM Safety Manager
\nReview of all risk assessments, PTB\u2019s, Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures on site as part of the auditing process;
\ninspection and monitoring of all sub-contractor Plant and Equipment;
\nassistance with and advice upon the development and implementation of the Safety Management Plan<\/p>\n
\nadvice, assistance and assessment in respect of all safety related issues ;
\nmonitoring all aspects of the Contractor\u2019s operations with especial reference to adherence to good practices for health and safety and protection of the environment;
\nkeeping a daily safety diary to record important events;
\nattending Site meetings when requested to do so
\nAttending daily PTB\u2019s and toolbox talks

\nExperience working for a consultant is required (3 years minimum)
\nExperience in Marine Construction and \/or site investigation is an advantage
\nExperience working for a contractor is an advantage<\/p>\n
\nComputer literate
\nTraining and Coaching skills
\nSelf-starter

\nSafety inspector forms part of a larger Construction management team and sound interpersonal skills and team ethic are essential

\nEligibility to work in Ghana (due to nationality or work permit) is an advantage.

\nAccredited Safety Qualification and dredging and Marine Construction experience Computer literate<\/p>\n
