Job Title: Field Service Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Role Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Field Service Engineer is the primary person responsible for execution of a work scope for the customer meeting all environmental, health, safety and quality standards. The role will require flexibility in working hours and an ability to adapt to challenges on a daily basis, working with team members locally and remotely. This is not a rotational position. Candidates applying for the role should have the right to live and work in Ghana at the time of application. Local candidates preferred.<\/p>\n

Essential Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
\nPerform on-site installation of systems and equipment and on-going preventive maintenance and repair of tools after installation
\nRespond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
\nProvide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer’s sites
\nPerform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports, ordering materials and preparing job status reports in a timely and thorough basis
\nMaintain knowledge of the report system to the extent required for timely and accurate input of field information necessary
\nProvide leadership and technical direction while performing work on customer sites
\nMaintain strong safety mind-set to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards
\nKnowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage
\nPrepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
\nProven experience in an offshore field service role
\nTeam management experience
\nExcellent communication skills
\nAbility to work to deadlines with minimum supervision
\nStrong computer skills with word and excel
\nMust have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role\u2019s location
\nDesired Characteristics:
\nMinimum of five years of engineering experience
\nEHS and Quality qualifications
\nExperience in the Oil and Gas industry
\nHas working knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry technical and regulatory framework
\nFlexible attitude to working patterns
\nWillingness and ability to travel
\nAbility to effectively perform & contribute in a matrix team environment
