Job Title: Claims \/ Complaints Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Location: Head Office, Accra
\nJob Objective<\/p>\n

To provide technical and secretarial support to the GIA Complaints Management and Advice Bureau of both Life and Non-Life Insurance Councils.<\/p>\n

Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

To manage a dynamic and complex complaints caseload from Policyholders and the General Public.
\nTo directly manage the Complaints
\nAdministrative team and provide support services to the lead consultant.
\nTo assist in the development and maintenance of systems for the management of complaints
\nTo assist in the development and management of procedures and policies for complaints
\nTo develop and deliver education and training in relation to complaints management and customer care support education initiatives
\nTo facilitate and maintain an effective corporate approach to the management of complaints
\nTo ensure the effective management of the GIA 3 tier complaints management systems within the framework for managing complaints
\npromptly, providing responses that address the complainant\u2019s concerns
\nTo facilitate complaint resolution meetings
\nTo appropriately relay complaints to the Head of Technical Life \/ Non-Life Department<\/p>\n

Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

A first degree preferably in a business related discipline
\nACII, WAIl, Advance Diploma from GIC or any relevant technical qualification in Insurance course(s}
\nTen (10) years of working experience in the insurance industry; three (3) of which must be in a managerial position in a Claims Department.<\/p>\n

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills
\nShould be creative and have the ability to exercise sound judgment
\nHigh level of integrity and professionalism<\/p>\n

Should be results-oriented with a can-do attitude<\/p>\n
