\n\u2022 Supports the GIZ-GATF programme in
\n\u2022 Is responsible for innovation and knowledge management as well as the transmission of innovation to a wide range of persons and
\n\u2022 Integrates results and experiences into team efforts and into all relevant groups
\n\u2022 Is responsible for maintaining a good flow of communication and information between all involved institutions and counterparts and GIZ
\nTasks<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Participates in identifying needs for external support and advice, elaborates on policy recommendations and develops strategic approaches
\n\u2022 Supervises development and implementation of plans and activities in close coordination with the projects
\n\u2022 Contributes to preparation and implementation of the consultation process, the project\u2019s activities and efforts<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Compiles information about trade and customs regulations and activities in the ECOWAS and ensures knowledge transfer
\n\u2022 Develops ready-to-use strategies and technical concepts, including guidelines, manuals and procedures
\n\u2022 Draws up reports and presentation documents
\nOther Duties \/ Additional Tasks<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Performs other duties and tasks at the request of management<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 At least 5 years professional experience in a comparable position in the area of customs \/ trade \/ trade facilitation
\n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in economic policies and regulations, as well as implementation of trade projects
\n\u2022 Working experience with customs administration or Ministry of trade is required
\n\u2022 Working experience of demonstrated cooperation experience with the private sector on customs and trade facilitation issues would be an asset<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Strong managerial and organization competence
\n\u2022 Excellent knowledge of English
\n\u2022 Willingness to up-skill as required by the tasks to be performed
