Solidaridad West Africa (SWA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports the sustainable development of farmers and production systems in West Africa. We play a catalytic role by partnering with private sector companies and other stakeholders to foster the development of socially responsible, ecologically sound, and profitable supply chains. As the Regional Expertise Center (REC) within Solidaridad\u2019s international network, we are part of a growing global movement advocating and supporting sustainable and responsible production and trade.

\nDuty Station: Accra<\/p>\n
\nThe position holder facilitates organizational accountability and integrity through audit of business controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of Solidaridad operations. The internal auditor shall further examine the organizational financial records to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.<\/p>\n
\nCollect and analyse data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, excessiveness, wastefulness, non-compliance with laws, regulations and the organization\u2019s quality management systems
\nTravel to project sites and other REC countries to audit operational and financial systems, administrative records, accountability, procedures, staffing, planning, budgets, legal requirement and quality management systems.
\nExamines and document risks, internal processes and related controls and conduct appropriate tests and make proposal in written brief to management
\nas the organization strives towards enhanced management system.
\nCoach and provide expertise, and oversee the work of other departments as needed based on findings for improvement.
\nReview grant contracts and ensure all conditions are met.
\nDocument process and prepare audit findings memorandum to the Regional Director on quarterly basis.<\/p>\n
\nDemonstrated knowledge in different donor rules and regulations (Dutch Government, USAID, EU, DFID etc.)
\nA minimum of five (5) years of practice in accounting in an international development organization and\/or audit firm
\nExcellent financial and analytical skills
\nConversant with legal requirement and quality management systems
\nExcellent command of MS-Office and exposure to the use of a cloud based accounting system<\/p>\n
