The Project Manager ensures the effective and timely management an implementation of the project. He or she will work closely with management and other departments to ensure compliance to donors requirements and adherence to technical specifications. The role will provide leadership and line management to a Project Officer, DM&E Officer and other staff who may be hired during the lifetime of the project.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Project Manager Evergreen Agriculture Project<\/strong><\/p>\n Major Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Project planning and quality<\/strong><\/p>\n Provide leadership in development of project plans, budget and overall implementation<\/p>\n Coordinate with Technical Programme Managers and the Programme Effectiveness department to ensure implementation is in accordance to technical and budgetary expectations<\/p>\n Monitor and assess key risks affecting project implementation adapt accordingly<\/p>\n Coordinate and oversee the activities of implementing partners<\/p>\n Finance management<\/p>\n Ensure the timely preparation and submission of financial reports and disbursement requests.<\/p>\n Ensure that project finances and assets are managed in line with WV donor requirements<\/p>\n Monitor budget expenditure and take necessary action<\/p>\n Performance management and supervision<\/p>\n Supervise and support the all direct reports, ensuring high quality work outputs<\/p>\n Timely performance management actions and outputs<\/p>\n Networking, collaboration, and communication<\/p>\n Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in planning and implementation.<\/p>\n Represent WV Ghana at relevant meetings with internal and external stakeholders<\/p>\n Foster good relationships with communities and local authorities, ensuring that feedback is addressed in a timely manner<\/p>\n Promote the goals of the project through effective communication with government, local authorities, the media, communities and other stakeholders<\/p>\n Documentation and reporting<\/p>\n Ensure timely submission of reporting in accordance with WV and donor requirements<\/p>\n Ensure success stories and project impacts are appropriately documented<\/p>\n Other responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Perform other tasks as required by management<\/p>\n Qualifications: Education\/Knowledge\/Technical Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n First Degree in any of the following: Social Sciences (Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, or related); a Master\u2019s Degree will be an added advantage<\/p>\n Three years\u2019 related working experience in project implementation, at least one of which should be in agriculture-based projects<\/p>\n Experience in agroforestry or range management will be an added advantage<\/p>\n Working Environment \/ Conditions:<\/p>\n Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field<\/p>\n Travel: Minimum 50% domestic travel required<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Project Manager ensures the effective and timely management an implementation of the project.
