The Strengthening Agriculture and Regional Resilience (STARR) project will assist the Governments of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi as well as other neighboring nations to improve regional integration by identifying and mitigating policy constraints to agricultural trade and value chains, scaling up best practices, and strengthening the resilience and cooperation of regional networks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Technical Experts &#8211; USAID Kenya and East Africa STARR Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We are seeking technical specialists in the following areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade and Policy Reform<\/li>\n<li>Enabling Environment for Private Sector Competitiveness<\/li>\n<li>ICT for Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Value Chain Development \u2013 livestock, agriculture, horticulture<\/li>\n<li>Agribusiness Management<\/li>\n<li>Regional association and Organization Development<\/li>\n<li>Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Production and Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Climate Change Resilient Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Gender<\/li>\n<li>Youth engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for technical specialists:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree required in agriculture, economics, trade policy, international development, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of seven years of experience designing, implementing, and managing agriculture programs in one or more EAC countries<\/li>\n<li>Experience with USAID\u2013funded donor projects<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with the private sector, government entities, and international donors<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English required, proficiency in regional languages desired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please submit your application by February 28, 2018.
