\nKey accountabilities:
\nUndertake research activities (research, technical and project support) that contribute towards delivery of project outputs, and comply with PRINCE2 standards, in a timely and professional manner. Project development<\/p>\n
\nPrepare project reports to inform customers on project progress and guarantee their ultimate satisfaction;
\nDeliver quality science and publish it to maintain and grow CABI\u2019s international reputation
\nDevelop projects within CABI\u2019s Invasive theme, to deliver its mission and achieve financial targets;
\nMaintain and build excellent relationships with key partners;
\nAdhere to CABI policies and procedures at the Centre, including HR procedures, health and safety requirements, financial and project management procedures, and IPR procedures.<\/p>\n
\nWe are seeking a dynamic researcher with an excellent background in biological control, integrated approaches to Invasive Pest Management, an internationally recognized
\nscientific background, and outstanding and proven networking abilities.<\/p>\n
\nUnderstanding of a range of extension approaches and methods, in particular understanding of participatory approaches and communication for development;
\nGood understanding of issues related to IAS policies, awareness creation, capacity development and IAS best management practices; Fluency in spoken and written English<\/p>\n
\nMasters in a Life Science area relevant to the Research group ideally classical biocontrol\/ ecology\/entomology\/;
\nCompetence in French language would be an advantage
\nPrince II qualifications will be considered an added advantage;<\/p>\n
\nField and lab experimental design, data collection and reporting
\nProven data handling and high level competency in statistical analysis (ideally in R), modelling experience an advantage;
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of packages essential (SharePoint an advantage)
\nGood knowledge of project planning and management (Prince II an advantage)
