\nPPAG is a Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It is governed by respectable volunteers who are the members of the Association. The Governing body, formulate policies which are implemented by staff.<\/p>\n

\nPosition: FINANCE OFFICER
\nReport to: FINANCE MANAGER
\nJob Purpose: To provide accounting support to the Association\u2019s programmes<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Ensure that returns from the project sites are received and properly coded to be entered into the system.
\n\u2022 Prepare projects\u2019 final accounts and supporting schedules for the end- of -year audits
\n\u2022 Scrutinize all project returns and ensure that consistency is maintained in the internal control system and report any lapses found.
\n\u2022 Prepare monthly summaries of project expenses under the appropriate account codes
\n\u2022 Provide financial support to project staff
\n\u2022 Ensure that funds are available for project implementation
\n\u2022 Assist in the preparation of PPAG final accounts
\n\u2022 Undertake monthly supervision of the update of Project\u2019s Fixed Asset Register
\n\u2022 Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation statements
\n\u2022 Make inputs of accounting entries and back-ups into the software
\n\u2022 Assist in preparation of project budget, Annual Programme Budget (APB) and any other financial information to Finance Manager for decision-making
\n\u2022 Perform any other duties that may be assigned by your immediate supervisor.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 A Certificate in ACCA\/ICA will be an added advantage.
\nThe Person Must:
\n\u2022 Have good knowledge of accounting systems and procedures
\n\u2022 Have good working knowledge in the use of accounting soft wares, especially, ACCPAC
\n\u2022 Have good working knowledge in the use of the computer (Excel, PowerPoint)
\n\u2022 Have very good presentation, communication, and report writing skills
\n\u2022 Have high sense of responsibility, accuracy and judgmental skills
\n\u2022 Be honest, transparent and reliable
\n\u2022 Have excellent human relations skills, youth friendly and a team player
\n\u2022 Be a multi-tasker
\n\u2022 Be able to work with little or no supervision and have an eye for details
\n\u2022 Be able to work for long hours and under pressure
\n\u2022 Be able to travel at short notice
