Job Title:\u00a0Wealth Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ability to \u2018hunt\u2019 for new clients as well as maintain relationships on an on-going basis.
\nDevelop and maintain credible, trustworthy client relationships which are based on service, relevant and accurate advice, tailored solutions and an intimate understanding of the clients\u2019 need and personal circumstances.
\nFully accountable for the relationship with clients. Control and manage the relationship that the client has with Stanbic on an on-going basis as well as marketing the services of the other internal divisions(STANLIB, Melville Douglas, Stockbroking and the greater Standard Bank Group)<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities\/Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsible for the profitability of the team and take-on of all new clients
\nIncreasing lending fees and assets under management.
\nClient acquisition and retention \u2013 service orientated.
\nRelationship management
\nClient balance sheet optimization
\nTo remain complaint with all legislation pertaining to financial planning, i.e. FAIS, FICA etc.
\nTrust & Fiduciary and adherence to W&I management philosophy
\nClient retention and profitability
\nGrowth in fees – Achievement of initial and ongoing fee target
\nCompliance and risk management
\nTeam\/Franchise Management
\nPreferred Qualification and Experience
\nDegree, preferably Post graduate
\nRelevant financial\/legal degree
\nCFP
\nAdvanced CFP would be advantageous
\nCFP Certification
\nLicences – FAIS Categories I & II
\nKnowledge\/Technical Skills\/Expertise
\nSolution Design<\/p>\n

Understanding of the HNWI market client profile and lifestyle.
\nUnderstanding and the correct application of the W&I strategy, process\/ philosophy.
\nSound knowledge of the full product spectrum as relevant to the Private Clients market, including features, benefits, pricing, product combination possibilities for optimum use and relationship to other more specialised products.
\nKnowledge of equivalent competitor products and services.
\nUp to date with high level appreciation of market forces and financial trends (local and international) and how these impact Stanbic clients.
\nGeneral knowledge and ability to talk around client interests, issues and solutions.
\nUnderstand the product and fund universe as well as the structure and tax implications of such product\/s.
\nLending<\/p>\n

Thorough understanding of Lending Principles (Balance sheet Optimization).
\nFinance\/ Legislation<\/p>\n

Ability to interpret financial statements, management accounts, budgets and cash flows for all types of legal entities.
\nKnowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
\nQualifications and experience as determined by the \u201cFit and Proper Requirements\u201d of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
\nKnowledge of the Code of Banking Practice.
\nOther<\/p>\n
