In 2006, it had around 400,000 customers for fixed and mobile telephony and Internet services.<\/p>\n<p>On 3 August 2008 it was announced that Vodafone had agreed to acquire 70% of Ghana Telecom from the Ghanaian government at a cost of US$900 million and a total enterprise value of approximately US$1.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Business Intelligence Analyst<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide support to Business users of BI applications, systems and processes<\/li>\n<li>Provide data extracts to Business Users<\/li>\n<li>Support DWH\/ETL Specialist working on assigned tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities and decision ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with all areas of the business to understand their BI reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Gather and document business reporting requirements and translate these into system architecture designs.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Business users and 3rd party suppliers to understand, analyse, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provide guidance on selection of BI tools and methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI and ETL tools.<\/li>\n<li>Support the data warehouse design and integration efforts, including data sourcing and transformation, logical\/physical data modelling and ETL development in support of the BI application.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the testing and verification of the BI application.<\/li>\n<li>Provide business users with timely and accurate business data and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Provide best practice guidance and mentoring to Business users of BI applications.<\/li>\n<li>Train and assist Business users of BI applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Provide ITIL-based Incident and Problem management support (2nd &amp; 3rd Line Support)<strong>Technical \/ Professional Qualification, Competencies &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent SQL skills &amp; Good knowledge of relational and object database models.<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of the software application development and testing methodology.<\/li>\n<li>\uf0fcIn depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools<\/li>\n<li>Strong technological background, with qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Excellent SQL skills &amp; Good knowledge of relational and object database models.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates a high degree of BI tool expertise and development skills.<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of the software application development and testing methodology.<\/li>\n<li>More than 2 years\u2019 work experience in BI\/DWH support.<\/li>\n<li>BI consulting soft skills experience.<\/li>\n<li>Understands product and promotional offers reporting in BI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vodafone Ghana, formerly Ghana Telecom, is the national telecommunications company of Ghana.
