Interested applicants should kindly forward their recent CV and cover letter through this SNC-Lavalin\u2019s career email or job apply button displayed below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Civil-Structural Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary role is to fulfill the civil \u2013 structural engineering needs for a wide variety of industrial clients.<\/li>\n<li>Provides design\/analytical civil \u2013 structural engineering for projects and proposals to assure that design meets customer specifications and industry codes and standards.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in a multi-disciplinary environment in determining the civil \u2013 structural requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Will handle specification creation and modification, as well as oversee detailed design.<\/li>\n<li>Travels to fabrication sites, installation sites, and customer facilities as needed to support project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with others in a team environment to accomplish objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Verify accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with design staff engaged on projects.<\/li>\n<li>Work with reinforced concrete design to include \u2013 Equipment Foundations, Machine Foundations, Concrete Structures, Containment Systems, Plant Buildings, and Marine Structures.<\/li>\n<li>Work with structural steel design to include- Process Structures, Rail and Truck Loading Structures, Pipe and Cable Tray Racks, Marine Structures, Sheet pile structures and retaining walls.<\/li>\n<li>Structural engineers will need to design to national codes and standards. Understanding, interpreting and correctly applying these codes and standards are paramount to a safe design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies, Skills and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum HND or Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related qualification;<\/li>\n<li>5 years applicable experience in the consulting sector specifically with civil projects;<\/li>\n<li>Registration or eligible to be registered with Professional Engineers Association;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication (written and oral), prioritization and organization skills;<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload; and,<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Civil 3D , AutoCAD Micro station , and 3D experience\/abilities are considered an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Project Management, People Management and experience in Construction Engineering are considered strong assets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple project priorities, and a willingness to quickly change work assignments<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their CV and Cover letter immediately via: career@snc-lavalincorporations.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SNC-Lavalin Group is seeking a Civil and Structural Engineer to join our unique and elite multinational team.
