\n\u2022 Oversee activities related to quality improvement, utilization management, risk management patient care.
\n\u2022 Coordinate activities of the clinical Directorates
\n\u2022 Develop and clearly define guidelines for attending physicians as they relate to the Hospital and its policies and procedures
\n\u2022 Develop and monitor research and Development programmes of the hospital
\n\u2022 Coordinate clinical post-graduate education\/training programmes of medical, dental and allied health personnel
\n\u2022 Provide technical advice on staffing requirements for efficient clinical services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Assist in the recruitment and retention of medical, dental and allied health staff
\n\u2022 Ensure the equitable distribution of clinical personnel in the hospital
\n\u2022 Monitor and evaluate the performance of clinical personnel in the hospital
\n\u2022 Submit regular and annual reports on clinical activities
\n\u2022 Ensure the welfare and professional development of clinical personnel in the hospital
\n\u2022 Constitute medical boards
\n\u2022 Advise the Chief Executive and management on clinical matters
\n\u2022 Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Evidence of and continuing professional development and training in leadership and management
\n\u2022 At least 5 years post qualification experience 2 years of which should be in management\/supervisory position
\n\u2022 Experience in policy and standards development
\n\u2022 Experience in service development
\n\u2022 Research experience<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Broad knowledge and understanding of quality assurance issues
\n\u2022 Excellent leadership skills
\n\u2022 Ability to work, lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team
\n\u2022 Ability to organize workload and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
\n\u2022 Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative
\n\u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills
\n\u2022 Advocacy and negotiation skills
\n\u2022 Conflict management skills
