BIMA Mobile are seeking a General Manager to support the Country Manager in the management of all operations related to our micro-insurance products and in the growth of our core airtime and mobile money activities in Ghana.<\/p>\n
BIMA launched its operation in Ghana in 2010, partnering with mobile operator Tigo (now AirtelTigo) to provide Ghanaians with affordable insurance products paid through airtime. BIMA now provides over 1.6M Ghanaians with mobile-delivered insurance and has paid over 25,000 claims in Ghana worth GHs 11 million. BIMA currently has over 600 employees in Ghana.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: General Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n As General Manager, you will assume full P&L responsibility and management of a team of 300 sales and support employees across Ghana and will be responsible for developing new products, service innovations and functionalities. Work streams will include coordinating technical platform integration, marketing, team recruitment, stakeholder management with insurance companies and mobile operators, customer experience and claims, etc. The General Manager will also play a specific role to set up a robust local organisation structure that performs autonomously and effectively.<\/p>\n The successful candidate will have significant experience in a management \/ operational role, preferably from a big corporation and with P&L responsibility. Overall, you must be attuned to value the details as well as be able to understand and drive towards the big picture.
