The Lady in Red is an iconic symbol of Kempinski and is in essence the Hotel Ambassador (or First Lady). As an extended arm of the General Manager she welcomes, meets and farewells hotel guests and is responsible for the communication with all guests providing highest quality service standards. The Lady in Red is empowered to take immediate decisions in respect to guest wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City \u2013 Accra is the only five-star luxury hotel offering state of the art meeting facilities and services in the city. Conveniently located in the downtown area and in close proximity to the State House, the Accra International Conference Centre and the National Theatre. The property has 269 luxury rooms (largest room size in Accra), 24 suites, a variety of F&B offerings as well as large conference facilities and the largest SPA in West Africa (opening soon), a perfect mix of categories to meet the needs of both corporate and conference visitors to the country<\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Lady in Red<\/strong><\/p>\n

Overall Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

The job of Lady in Red is executed satisfactorily when:
\n\u2022 LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) audit results are 85% and above.
\n\u2022 CSS (Customer Satisfaction Survey) results are rated on an average with \u201c5\u201d and above.
\n\u2022 Hotel and Outlets are promoted.
\n\u2022 Guest complaints are minimized and if occur followed up efficient and are reported to Operations team.
\n\u2022 In case of immediate need, the Lady in Red helps with reception duties.<\/p>\n

Main Responsibilties<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Communication of hotel & company philosophy and internal hotel representation.
\n\u2022 Have an in-depth knowledge of the hotel and the geographical layout of the city \/ surroundings.
\n\u2022 Knowledgeable about all VIPs in-house, hotel functions and special events.
\n\u2022 Collect as much feedback information on VIPs as possible (on daily basis) by checking e.g. Google, Opera PMS company wide, briefs and distribute this information within the hotel to all relevant departments by e.g. daily guest fact sheets\/reports, newsletter, etc. and ensure information is updated in the guest profile.
\n\u2022 Welcome, facilitate and bid farewell to as many guests as possible.
\n\u2022 Top VIPs MUST be welcomed upon arrival, escorted to their room and bid farewell upon departure.
\n\u2022 Liaise with FOM and GM, to prepare tailor made guest itinerary for Top VIP\u2019s when appropriate and coordinate VIP greetings and departures \u2013 ahead of time.
\n\u2022 Obtain as much information about a guest\u2019s stay to be entered in the guest history.
\n\u2022 Welcome visitors to the hotel, assist with general information, internal promotions and directions.
\n\u2022 Handle guest complaints and requests in a polite and efficient manner, give further instructions to the relevant staff if needed to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
\n\u2022 Maintain a record of all complaints and requests, follow up and inform concerned operating departments.
\n\u2022 Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.
\n\u2022 Walk throughout the hotel recognizing guests and engage with them appropriately.
\n\u2022 Attend & participate in daily briefings as scheduled.
\n\u2022 Report potential and existing hazards and rectified immediately.
\n\u2022 Provide information to all guests regarding the services and possible internal promotions of the hotel.
\n\u2022 Senior Management on any unusual circumstances that might affect guest service and expectation.
\n\u2022 Take decisions on upgrades \/ comps \/ rebates etc. as per stipulated hotel policies and procedures.
\n\u2022 Participate in training programmes.
\n\u2022 Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.<\/p>\n

Desired Skills and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
\n\u2022 Minimum of 3 years experience in a Manager level position in Front Office or Guest Relations preferably in an international five star hotel
\n\u2022 Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
\n\u2022 English \u2013 excellent oral and written skills
\n\u2022 Preferably as Section Head in 5 star property.
\n\u2022 Proven track record with good progression.
\n\u2022 Mature & Customer focused.
\n\u2022 Additional language \u2013 beneficial
\n\u2022 Luxury Hotel Experiences
\n\u2022 People Oriented
\n\u2022 Passionate for European luxury
\n\u2022 Good Communication skills
\n\u2022 Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients\/vendors.

\n\u2022 Excellent organisational and time management skills.
\n\u2022 Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times.
\n\u2022 Works in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
\n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
\n\u2022 Basic knowledge of Micros
\n\u2022 Comprehensive Opera knowledge
\n\u2022 Up Selling techniques
\n\u2022 Microsoft Excel and Statistical knowledge
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions.
\n\u2022 Food & Beverage and Sales experience is a plus
\n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
