{"id":30088,"date":"2018-04-18T15:32:30","date_gmt":"2018-04-18T15:32:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=30088"},"modified":"2018-04-18T15:32:30","modified_gmt":"2018-04-18T15:32:30","slug":"waec-vacancies-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/waec-vacancies-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"WAEC Vacancies 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of various examinations in the English-speaking West African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified person(s) to fill the under-mentioned vacant position in its Ghana National Office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Computer Operations Officer (Assistant Registrar II)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>COMPUTER OPERATIONS OFFICER (ASSISTANT REGISTRAR II)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties and responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties among others in the\u00a0Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plans, directs and manages the daily operations of the Computer Operations Section.<\/li>\n<li>Establish department policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for operation of mainframe and peripheral information system equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare schedules tor preventive maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for producing schedules of duties\u00a0for the section.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of the Division.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Age<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must not be more than forty (40) years at the time of applying and must be physically and\u00a0medically fit and of good character.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must hold a good First Degree in Computer Science \u2013 (Minimum, Second Class Lower).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must have at\u00a0least three (3) years post qualification experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable Attributes<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Eligible applicants must have the following attributes<\/strong><br \/>\nHe or she must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be result-oriented and have unquestionable integrity, confidentiality and reliability,<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Be a team player.<\/li>\n<li>Have ability to build and maintain credible working relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Be computer literate with typing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Have leadership ability.<\/li>\n<li>Have good organizational and co-operarion skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates are requested to pick application forms from the council&#8217;s Headquaters at Okponglo, adjacent to National Identification Authority, arounnd Tetteh Quarshie lnterchange,Accra or the National Office near the Ridge Hospital.
