To ensure availability and reliability of transport to all technical and administrative programmes of the service at facility level for efficient service delivery at all times
\nContribute to the preparation of annual procurement plans and budget for vehicles and motorcycles
\nWrite specification for the purchase of new and used vehicles working within the budget that has been established
\nCarry out assessment on vehicles and motorcycles and assist in drawing up vehicles disposal and replacement programme
\nProvide technical advice for the selection as well as disposal of vehicles and motorcycles in a cost effective manner
\nAdvise on appropriate use and lifespan of vehicles and motorcycles
\nPlay active role in coordinating the operation, maintenance and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of all vehicles and motorcycles
\nEnsure compliance with the transport policy in the facility
\nEnsure the safe and legal operation of vehicles
\nKeep vehicle fleet inventory in the facility and conduct periodic transport audit
\nContribute to the preparation of fleet maintenance reports
\nMonitor and evaluate transport operations and performance
\nFacilitate the establishment of Accident\/Incident Committees
\nControl the use of fuel and lubricants
\nPerform other official duties that may be assigned<\/p>\n
