Job Description: <\/strong><\/p>\n Contributes to the right balance of growth, profitability and control of the business by:<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tProviding Senior Wholesale Banking management with frequent, complete, accurate, timely and valid information as to the performance of the WB business on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tManaging the processes and systems for formulating and evaluating business strategies\/performance including planning, forecasting and budgeting, advanced analysis of financial data and teams profitability.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tFocusing on design, development, implementation, control and maintenance of management performance processes within WB.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tEnsure the accurate and timely monthly reporting of financial information<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tPreparation of a comprehensive budget and forecasts for the Wholesale Bank.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tPrepare monthly Customer Profitability.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tALCO & RALCO Issues.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tWeekly Sales Reporting Issues.<\/p>\n \uf0d8\tBuild on key team coherence to deliver on Business Support performance objectives<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Key Roles and Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n Business Partnering:<\/p>\n \u2022\tSupport the Wholesale Bank on strategy and monitor progress towards Key Performance Indicators. Reporting:<\/p>\n \u2022\tAssist Snr Partner to report Wholesale Bank monthly performance and ensure reports are timely and accurate at both product and customer segment levels.\u00a0 This includes the consistent application of FTP and cost allocation methodologies. Budgeting and Planning:<\/p>\n \u2022\tActively support the formulation of the annual Wholesale Bank budget. Value Based Management (VBM):<\/p>\n \u2022\tAssist EDF in formulation of consistent management processes across Ghana to support the VBM strategy.<\/p>\n Management Control:<\/p>\n \u2022\tActively support the EDF in the proper application of accounting principles and disciplines from the Group Management Accounting manual.<\/p>\n Project Management:<\/p>\n \u2022\tImplement project accounting disciplines and tracking for all pan African and local projects and ensure benefits tracking is carried out.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Qualification and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\tA broad appreciation of banking practice and management techniques. <\/p>\n Diversity and Inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n Standard Chartered is committed to diversity and inclusion. \n\u2022\tActively implement the business partnering concept between Ghana finance teams and the wholesale Bank.
\n\u2022\tActively implement a consistent path to the Group Business Model and migrate best practice.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\tEnsure Daily ALCO report is accurate and reconciliation issues are resolved.
\n\u2022\tReview Ghana monthly ALCO and RALCO reporting and ensure timely submission to Group Market Risk.
\n\u2022\tEnsure that weekly Sales Reports are accurate.
\n\u2022\tEnsure Daily ALCO report is accurate and reconciliation issues are resolved.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\tActively support Wholesale Bank Business Heads in developing and
\nMonitoring the Value Based Management (VBM).<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\tA good knowledge of Group and local banking accounting procedures and requirements.
\n\u2022\tAbility to analyze, evaluate and communicate clearly and logically both in writing and orally.
\n\u2022\tA formal business studies qualification \u2013 University degree in finance\/economics and\/or professional qualification – CA, CIMA, ACCA, CIS, etc.
\n\u2022\tGood interpersonal and communication skills
\n\u2022\tAn eye for detail and accuracy with a strong analytical capability
\n\u2022\tSound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Group Accounting Policy
\n\u2022\tHigh level of computer literacy is required.<\/p>\n
