Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Assistant Director of Food & Beverage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Set an example by reporting to duty punctually wearing business attire according to the hotels dress code & Kempinski grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
\n\u2022 Provide a professional and courteous service at all times and ensure that all employees follow the example.
\n\u2022 Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
\n\u2022 Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage products and services.
\n\u2022 Oversee the operations of the outlets appointed by the Food & Beverage Head of Department.
\n\u2022 Assist in preparing\/consolidating the yearly budget for the department.
\n\u2022 Assist in preparing the monthly income statement for each outlet and the department as a whole, attend the monthly performance meeting with the Outlet Management.
\n\u2022 Manage the consolidated inventory of Food & Beverage department\u2019s OS&E together with the Stewarding department.
\n\u2022 Attend and actively contribute to all relevant staff meetings and hotel trainings.
\n\u2022 Conduct daily operations briefings with the Executive Chef in the absence of the Food & Beverage Head of Department.
\n\u2022 Attend or conduct (in the absence of the Food & Beverage Head of Department) daily or weekly Food & Beverage meetings.
\n\u2022 Review and update all departmental operations manuals annually.
\n\u2022 Assist in sourcing the best available products, constantly aim to improve quality, communicate about the products both internally and externally.
\n\u2022 Establish good partnerships with suppliers and involve them in activities that will strengthen working relationships, e.g. invite them to the hotel.
\n\u2022 Monitor and constantly improve quality and guest satisfaction with the given tools (Leading Quality Assurance, Customer Satisfaction Survey).
\n\u2022 Assist handling guest complaints.
\n\u2022 Oversee every service at least once a week (breakfast, lunch, dinner, lobby, banqueting, room service, bar).
\n\u2022 Prepare a yearly marketing plan for the appointed outlets in cooperation with the Sales & Marketing Department including a competitor analysis.
\n\u2022 Follow the local and global food & beverage trends.
\n\u2022 Ensure that all managers plan and implement effective training programs in the appointed outlets.
\n\u2022 Be actively involved in the operations of the appointed outlets to ensure regular guest contact.
\n\u2022 Respond to any changes within the Food & Beverage department as dictated by the hotel management.
\n\u2022 Act as the secondary point of contact to the Corporate Food & Beverage Team.
\n\u2022 Support the implementation of corporate policies, procedures, guidelines, traditions and initiatives.
\n\u2022 Attend all corporate conference calls and the relevant regional and global Food & Beverage events in the absence of Food & Beverage Head of Department.<\/p>\n

\nDesired Skills and Responsibilities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management or related field or MBA
\n\u2022 Minimum three (3) years in F&B management role, preferably with a 5* hotel chain and ideally experience in a successful stand alone food & beverage operation
\n\u2022 Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
\n\u2022 English \u2013 excellent oral and written skills
\n\u2022 Additional language \u2013 beneficial
\n\u2022 Supervisory skills
