{"id":30629,"date":"2018-06-06T14:30:26","date_gmt":"2018-06-06T14:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=30629"},"modified":"2018-06-06T14:30:26","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T14:30:26","slug":"africa-gold-refineries-limited-vacancies-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/africa-gold-refineries-limited-vacancies-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Africa Gold Refineries Limited Vacancies 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A renowned Gold Refinery Company in Kenya is seeking to recruit a\u00a0<strong>Metallurgist<\/strong>\u00a0to join their team of professionals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Metallurgist Technician<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all aspects of the laboratory to ensure that all required analyses and investigations are performed precisely and in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage metallurgical operations and work practices that maximize operational efficiencies.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute inspection plans and conduct metallurgical and cleanliness tests on parts to verify conformance to specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and analyse key metallurgical performance indicators of process operations and recommend corrective actions to management.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the overall design of process flowsheets, plant layouts, material handling systems, manpower requirements, equipment procurement, and material utilization.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for production output of jewelry, Sampling Management with Lab, product quality and on-time shipping.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and efficient working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Progressively gain and apply knowledge of plant instrumentation, calibration, adjustment and troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Support in carrying out internal audits.<\/li>\n<li>Write and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly metallurgical reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgy, material science, or chemical engineering.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five years\u2019 experience in mineral processing\/extractive metallurgy.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in gold value addition plant and overseeing the whole production of jewelry a\u00a0<strong>Must<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively delegate while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conduct interdependent research.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop and draft procedures, plans, and internal control systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Strong general and specialized computer skills, including relevant software<\/p>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you meet the qualifications for this position and are committed to a challenging career with a dynamic company, please submit a cover letter and your resume to\u00a0<strong>info@agr.co.ke\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0referencing the job title in the subject line<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A renowned Gold Refinery Company in Kenya is seeking to recruit a\u00a0Metallurgist\u00a0to join their team of professionals.
