More information on Keegan and the Esaase project can be found on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keeganresources.com\">www.keeganresources.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Keegan Resources (Ghana) Ltd is seeking for a Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Officer with strong knowledge of manipulating GIS data for map production for its Esaase Gold Project.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the General Manager &#8211; Health, Safety, Environment and Community, based at the Esaase Camp site, the incumbent will take a lead role in the GIS aspects of the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The responsibilities will include but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders<br \/>\nDeveloping and maintaining the project site GIS protocols and databases<br \/>\nWorking with site staff, consultants, and Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to produce maps for: crop compensation; environmental and social baseline studies; Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and other permitting documents; geological and exploration environmental and social baseline studies; Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and other permitting documents; geological and exploration programmes; engineering studies; etc and<br \/>\nLiaising on a regular basis with keegan&#8217;s GIS Manager in Vancouver, Canada<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Geology, Geography, Earth\/Environmental Science, or any other related discipline with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the GIS field<br \/>\nKnowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques related to GIS<br \/>\nExcellent understanding and experience with MapInfo and\/or ArcView software<br \/>\nExcellent written communication skills<br \/>\nExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submissions are being sought for applications (cover letter and curriculum vitae) from applicants who meet the following minimum criteria.
