In finance, an investment is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will later be sold at a higher price for a profit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Investment Analyst<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage investments \u2013 blended fund offering debt, subordinated debt and equity investments.<\/li>\n<li>Create direct investments through FI\u2019s for smaller SME\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Raise funds with different risk layers.<\/li>\n<li>Develop pipeline sourcing mechanism with investment process, including third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate investments in agri-SME\u2019s, producer organizations, manufacturing, and related agriculture value chains.<\/li>\n<li>Develop direct investment of $3M minimum threshold in SSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-test-job-description=\"\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in economics, finance, computer science or business.<\/li>\n<li>CFA, CAPM, PMP, M.Sc Finance, MBA preferred .<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of risk and mitigation strategies, financial\/portfolio and currency hedging.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of project management system is preferred but not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In an economic sense, an investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth.
