Sissingu\u00e9 is Perseus\u2019 second gold mine, having previously developed the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana, which has produced about 200,000 ounces of gold per year from Edikan since 2012.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Supply Chain Superintendent<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide leadership (build, train and guide) to the Supply Chain team to provide an effective, efficient service on PMGL\u2019s behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the achievement of the company\u2019s objectives and meet targets, within cost, quality, safety and time parameters.<\/li>\n<li>Fulfil all statutory responsibilities and in accordance with applicable statutory legislation and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement, maintain and constantly improve the systems and processes of warehouse, logistics, procurement and all areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, develop and implement the supply section\u2019s annual business plan.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, present and implement a stock take programme and plan that ensures accuracy and meets \u00a0\u00a0 PMGL requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Review\/approval of quotations in accordance with delegated powers.<\/li>\n<li>Put in place control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.<\/li>\n<li>Develop the company\u2019s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure layout and security of warehouse facility on an ongoing basis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure standardized receival, storage, movement, and distribution of materials in the warehouse in accordance to best practices and company procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Efficiently and safely manage incoming and outgoing freight to ensure timely and secure deliveries to and from site.<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyze the supply department\u2019s inventory levels to optimize stock levels whilst maintaining effective supplies on site and value of inventory carried.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and schedule regular review process of inventory catalogue (i.e. min\/max, Auslang standards) and critical spares identification in coordination with relevant internal customer.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all inventory items are catalogued in accordance with Company practices and procedures and recognized cataloguing standard.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that appropriate inventory control systems and procedures are in place<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties which would be assigned by supervisor based on the exigencies of the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in a Supply Chain management discipline<\/li>\n<li>Recognized professional certification in Procurement, Supply, Logistics and\/or Inventory would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10 years in senior supply chain and materials management roles in a large scale mining environment<\/li>\n<li>A proven successful track record of leading teams and managing people<\/li>\n<li>Supply, logistics &amp; warehousing management system experience (Preferably PRONTO)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment<\/li>\n<li>Cataloguing and inventory control expertise<\/li>\n<li>Parts interpretation expertise<\/li>\n<li>Highest proven standard of integrity and honesty<\/li>\n<li>Strong organization, planning, negotiation, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills<\/li>\n<li>Reliable and high attention to details; research skills and understanding of data privacy standards<\/li>\n<li>A team player and with the ability to work under intense pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications will only be received by email to\u00a0<strong>hr.pmgl@perseusmining.com.gh<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>Supply Chain Superintendent\u00a0<\/strong>as the subject line of the email.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for this application is\u00a0<strong>28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June, 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited is an equal opportunities employer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Perseus became a multi-mine, multi-jurisdiction gold producer in January 2018 when it poured first gold at its Sissingu\u00e9 Gold Mine in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.
