\n\u2022 Identify opportunities for the development contractors and suppliers, which may provide mutual business benefit
\n\u2022 Development of Ghanaian contractors and suppliers to meet Aker Energy\u2019s current and future needs
\n\u2022 Lead in the development and implementation of local content development programme
\n\u2022 Evaluate and recommend to management various supplier development requirements towards achieving the prescribed local content requirement
\n\u2022 Monitor and feedback to the organisation on local content performance throughout the life of a contract or project
\n\u2022 Produce quarterly reports on local performance to the Petroleum commission as per the requirements of the local content law
\n\u2022 Identify risks and threats posed by local content to Aker Energy and provide guidance on resolving these issues to the supply chain manager
\n\u2022 Participate in management and negotiation with government agencies and regulators on local content expectations, timing and associated commitments
\n\u2022 Keeping abreast of international and in-country trends such as taxation, expropriation risks, resource nationalism, LC expectations, politics and public perception<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Excellent understanding of the industry\u2019s local content laws and regulations
\n\u2022 Experience in a procurement \/ contracting environment advantageous
\n\u2022 Good oral and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage own time and establish priorities
\n\u2022 Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
\n\u2022 Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental goals
\n\u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
\n\u2022 Oil & Gas industry experience in desirable
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in appropriate discipline<\/p>\n
