\nWorld Education, Inc. seeks a local candidate for a Knowledge Management and Database Officer based in Accra, Ghana pending award from DFID\/Girls\u2019 Education Challenge\/Leave No Girl Behind. The programme aims to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of highly marginalized out-of-school girls and transition them into formal school or employment. This programme seeks to decrease key barriers to access quality education, opportunities for employment and improving safety of highly marginalized girls in schools and their communities, while increasing girls\u2019 knowledge and adoption of positive behaviours, empowering them to become leaders and role models within their communities.<\/p>\n
\nManage a team consisting of technical program associates, M&E officers and a grants officer.
\nProvide technical guidance in design and implementation of database.
\nCollaborate with ME&L team and Downstream NGO partners on implementing quality data gathering methodologies
\nEnsure the fidelity of program data and that data management is aligned with donor and fund manager requirements
\nWork closely with ME&L Manager to analyse data and report findings
\nLead the development of policy papers
\nOther responsibilities as assigned.
\nRequired Skills or Experience<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in monitoring and evaluation or database management
\nExperience in generating and analysing large data sets to provide an informed programmatic approach
\nBackground in research and developing high quality policy papers and reports
\nStrong understanding of the Ghanaian education sector, including district-level education
\nDemonstrated experience leading and building the capacity sub-awardee partners, including field-based staff, to meet project needs and deliverables is strongly desired;
\nExceptional written and spoken communication skills required
\nPreferred<\/p>\n
\nKnowledgeable in education data analysis with a gender and inclusive focus
\nDemonstrated training experience
\nStrong analytical and reporting skills
\nExperience running database and data collection software. i.e. SPSS, Magpie, Tangerine<\/p>\n
