\n\u2022 Keep and update plans, sections of pits slopes and respective hydrogeological regimes within and around the pit and other operational areas;
\n\u2022 Supervise in-pit and ex-pit hydrogeological situations and consequently advice on the location of sumps, ditches and drainage berms;
\n\u2022 Supervise the installation of piezometers in ex-pits boreholes and on tailings embankment;
\n\u2022 Plan and supervise drilling during geotechnical investigation for open pit and civil designs;
\n\u2022 Update Geotechnical database;
\n\u2022 Advice pit Supervisors and Mining Engineers on pit wall stability as required for open pit designs;
\n\u2022 Monitor drill and blasting activities that impact on the integrity of final pit walls, and advice on weaker grounds where drilling and blasting could be minimized;
\n\u2022 Undertake Geotechnical and Geological mapping using the scan line method;
\n\u2022 Identify learning needs of immediate team members and organizes or recommend appropriate training;
\n\u2022 Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Minimum of five (5) years\u2019 post qualification work experience in a similar position;
\n\u2022 Previous work experience using 3D modelling software or similar software package;
\n\u2022 Generation of Geological and Geotechnical 3D models from data obtained from the field using geotechnical softwares;
\n\u2022 Excellent usage of geotechnical and mining softwares such as DIPS 7.0, SLIDES 6.0, SWEDGE, SURPAC and Micromine;
\n\u2022 Self-confidence and personal drive in supervising team members;
\n\u2022 Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational, technical and analytical skills;
\n\u2013 2 \u2013
\n\u2022 Good Cooperation and compliance with instructions and ability to work for long hours without supervision;
\n\u2022 Well-developed oral and written communication skills (i.e. English and Twi);
\n\u2022 Must have a valid Ghanaian driving license and ability to drive in rough terrain;
\n\u2022 Must be medically fit for the position and environment.<\/p>\n
