Eni\u2019s current activities in Ghana are concentrated in the exploration and production, refining and marketing sectors.
\nOur presence in the country dates back to 1960 with the founding of the Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), owned by the Agip Ghana Company Limited (with 855,000 shares) and Snam SpA (with 95,000 shares). Oil exploration activities also began in the country at the end of the 1960s.
\nOn 16 December 1968, the shares belonging to Snam SpA were transferred to Hydrocarbons International Holdings in Zurich and in 1974, 100 per cent of the company was acquired by the government of Ghana. In 1970, the Ghanaian Italian Petroleum Company (GHAIP), wholly-owned by Anic SpA and Agip SpA and incorporated as an Italian limited liability company, built the Tema refinery, just 24km from the capital Accra. In 1974, the Ghanaian authorities incorporated the marketing of GHAIP in the Ghana Oil Company Ltd (GOIL).<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Providing technical and operational advice on environmental protection issues and support to company and contractors as and when needed
\n\u2022 Coordinating with Technical Departments (Exploration, Drilling, Operations, Projects, etc) to prepare relevant documents for permits
\n\u2022 Liaising with local environmental regulator to steward permit application, review and timely issurance
\n\u2022 Participating in WBG compliance audits carried out by independent auditors
\n\u2022 Preparation and timely submission of WBG Annual & Quarterly reports
\n\u2022 Preparation and timely submission of Annual environmental reports, monthly
\n\u2022 Environmental reports and and Well Terminal Reports to Ghana EPA
\n\u2022 Environmental reporting in company system on Water, GHG, Waste, Radiation, etc
\n\u2022 Monitoring, calculating and analyzing GHG Emissions as per company KPIs
\n\u2022 Participating in definition of scope of work, technical evaluation for tender process and management of contract activities such as provision of waste management, provision of onshore & offshore environmental monitoring, provision of environmental services, etc as and when required
\n\u2022 Supporting internal and external environmental audits and closing of audit non-conformances
\n\u2022 Providing support to other teams in the preparation of relevant documentation, information and gathering of data necessary to compile statutory reports and obtain other relevant permits and certificates from authorities
\n\u2022 Drafting procedures that are necessary for the implementation as part of the HSE-IMS as and when required
\n\u2022 Reviewing and critiquing contractor supplied environmental related documentation, such as environmental management plans, waste management plans, and monitoring reports etc
\n\u2022 Reviewing and Monitoring reports etc
\n\u2022 Reviewing environmental monitoring reports and providing timely feedback on reports<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in similar field. Main area of experience include<\/p>\n
\n2) Knowledge in waste management and environmental monitoring activities, knowledge of international codes and local regulations relevant to environment<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional and multi-national environment
\n\u2022 Problems-solving and analytical skills
\n\u2022 Computer literate in Microsoft office, word, excel, powerpoint
\n\u2022 Strong commitment to HSE<\/p>\n
