\n\u2022 Initiate and organise HSE trainings for employees at the branch
\n\u2022 Ensuring that the company HSE management system is implemented and maintain at the branch
\n\u2022 Ensuring that a register of Hazardous substances is maintained at all times
\n\u2022 Being the focal point for HSE at the branch and to lead and coordinate SHE activities at the branch
\n\u2022 Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and record the data accordingly
\n\u2022 Auditing policies, procedures and company safety standards
\n\u2022 Submit monthly performance records to the HSE Manager
\n\u2022 Head and Chair HSE meetings at the branch
\n\u2022 Ensuring that contractors working on company premises or on behalf of the company are competent and controlled whilst they are working on site
\n\u2022 Undertake periodic workplace inspections at the branch
\n\u2022 Ensuring that new employees, temporary workers and contractors are adequately inducted, ie given enough HSE information before they begin work
\n\u2022 Conduct risk assessment for various tasks and at various departments within the branch
\n\u2022 Promoting a safety culture within the organization and set a personal example and<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Candidate with nebosh certificate or diploma will be an added advantage
\n\u2022 Candidate must be a member of a relevant professional body (desirable)<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Risk assessment, and how to conduct it
\n\u2022 Accident investigations
\n\u2022 Health, safety and environmental statistics and its interpretation
\n\u2022 Hazardous substabces and their management
\n\u2022 HSE inductions and how to organize and conduct HSE inductions
\n\u2022 Reporting writing<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills
\n\u2022 Good negotiation skills
\n\u2022 Tenacity
\n\u2022 Self-motivated
\n\u2022 Good IT skills<\/p>\n
