Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager \u2013 Resilient Livelihoods<\/strong><\/p>\n

Role overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 This is a senior position. Its purpose is to provide leadership and oversight to the Livelihoods programming team, in the strategic design, development and implementation of the VSOG Livelihoods in line with the country office strategic plans and priorities.
\n\u2022 The role will provide comprehensive programme management and coordination support in the implementation and measurement of VSOG Livelihoods programs, as well as leads the Business Development efforts and grant management related to Livelihoods in the Ghana Country Office.<\/p>\n

Skills, qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Essential Skills required<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Technical expertise in any of the following areas: agricultural value-chain development, public-private partnerships, enterprise development, and youth and women\u2019s livelihoods empowerment.
\n\u2022 Project Design and Development-Ability and experience in designing and developing an Agric-based livelihoods programme\/project from scratch is very key.
\n\u2022 Project Management \u2013 Experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, delivering expected benefits in challenging contexts to tight deadlines.
\n\u2022 Communication \u2013 Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate and inspire
\n\u2022 Relationship Building \u2013 Ability to build effective working relationships, inspiring confidence and credibility with employees at all levels. Strong influencer of others. Ability to work effectively across a globally dispersed organisation.
\n\u2022 Organisation and planning \u2013 Excellent coordination and planning skills with experience of working under pressure.<\/p>\n

Time management skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Financial \u2013 Experience of successfully monitoring and managing budgets.
\n\u2022 Fund Raising: Ability to write persuasive reports, concepts, funding proposals.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 A holder of Master\u2019s Degree in Agronomy \/ Social Sciences\/ Rural Development\/Social Policy Development\/International Development or related fields
\n\u2022 A Minimum of 6 years relevant experience<\/p>\n

Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with developing country strategic plans.
\n\u2022 Technical expertise in applying the Market for the Poor (M4P) approach
\n\u2022 Experience of managing change in an international environment.
\n\u2022 Practical experience within a volunteering\/Non- Government Organisation context
\n\u2022 Commitment to VSO\u2019s Core Approaches and values<\/p>\n
