This will include preparing the budget, conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports, developing and implementing an effective system of accounting, managing the payroll system and maintaining accurate and current by law records. \n\u2022 The post holder will also manage the following roles: Head of Accounts, Head of Budget and the Head of Stores<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Offer professional advice on the organisation\u2019s financial arrangements and performances
\n\u2022 Control the disbursement of funds
\n\u2022 Ensure that all financial transactions within the involving the organisation is done in accordance with the Financial Administration Act, 2003 (Act 654), Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658), Financial administration regulation, 2004 (L.I 1802), Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), etc
\n\u2022 Manage the organisation\u2019s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
\n\u2022 Develop a system that employs financial management mechanisms to minimize financial risks
\n\u2022 Manage the organisation\u2019s budgets
\n\u2022 Lead and motivate the finance staff of the organisation
\n\u2022 Undertake other duties commensurate with this role<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Be a member of a recognised professional accounting body e.g ICA, ACCA, CIMA etc
\nHave at least 8 years of post professional qualification working experience, 4 of which must be in a senior management position in a reputable organisation
\n\u2022 Have a good understanding of tax and statutory requirements<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Possess strong leadership skills and motivational skills
\n\u2022 Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to arrive methodical process of problem solving which includes considering a variety of solutions
\n\u2022 Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
\n\u2022 Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule to get job done, as required
\n\u2022 Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines<\/p>\n
