\n\u2022 Be responsible, in accordance with the statutes and with decisions of council and the academic board, for organising and conducting the academic, financial and administrative business of the university college
\n\u2022 Be the chief disciplinary officer of the University College
\n\u2022 Have overall authority over the academic, financial and administrative staff and
\n\u2022 Submit annually, through the academic board, to council a statement on the staff which, in his opinion, is necessary for the transaction of University College business, together with an estimate of the expenditure required for the maintenance of such staff
\n\u2022 Shall advise the council and the academic board on all matters affecting policy, finance, governance, and administration of the University College
\n\u2022 The ultimate responsibility of the President is to the Chancellor and the council of the university college<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Be an internationally acclaimed academic and\/or distinguished scholar
\n\u2022 Have a proven capacity to motivate, manage and direct staff
\n\u2022 Exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership qualities and organisational skills
\n\u2022 Be circumspect and above reproach
\n\u2022 Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and capacity to manage and control crisis situations
\n\u2022 Be visionary, business-oriented and be able to establish rapport between industry and the University for common purpose
\n\u2022 Be sober and mature with drive for sound and impartial judgment
\n\u2022 Have the capacity to raise funds and other resources for research and other development activities of the University
\n\u2022 Must subscribe to the University\u2019s statement of faith without reservation<\/p>\n
