The Service exists \u2018\u2019to secure effective administration and management of the decentralized local government system in the country\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Assistant Agricultural Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(AAO) REF: OGHLS\/PO\/002<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo assist in the effective delivery of agricultural services in the RCCs and MDDAs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accountability:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe AAO shall report to the Head, Department of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in the implementation of agricultural programmes and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with researchers; field officers and farmers to implement on-farm adaptive trials on new improved technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Writes and submits field reports to the DDAs and RDAs.<\/li>\n<li>Supervises field activities and monitors attitudes and work performance of field officers.<\/li>\n<li>Undertakes field demonstrations in partnership with the field officers to explain new technologies and practices to farmers.<\/li>\n<li>Undertakes any other tasks that may be assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Agriculture\/Extension from recognized University or Agricultural College.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fianuke\">\n<p><strong>2018 at 5pm local time<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must complete the Public Service Commission form 2 (PSC 2) and attach their Curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of academic certificates and National Service Certificate where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>The Envelope should be marked with the relevant reference number of the advert.<\/li>\n<li>The completed application shall be submitted to the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service or to the postal address below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Head of Service Office of the Head of the Local Government Service P.
