The Service exists \u2018\u2019to secure effective administration and management of the decentralized local government system in the country\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Agricultural Extension Agent (Technical Officer II)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To disseminate new farming technologies and advise farmers (farmer-groups) and other community-based stakeholders on how to appropriately apply farming technologies to improve agricultural productivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Agricultural Extension Agent shall report to the Head, Department of Agriculture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishes demonstrations to purposely educate farmers on modern farming practices<\/li>\n<li>Organizes farmers\u2019 groups and networks the groups with external partners<\/li>\n<li>Identifies agro-related problems and actively engages farmers in finding locally practicable solutions<\/li>\n<li>With help from the DAOs, the TO II develops route maps and visit schedules<\/li>\n<li>Undertakes any other tasks that may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate in General Agriculture from recognized University or Agricultural College.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must complete the Public Service Commission form 2 (PSC 2) and attach their Curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of academic certificates and National Service Certificate where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>The Envelope should be marked with the relevant reference number of the advert.<\/li>\n<li>The completed application shall be submitted to the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service or to the postal address below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>The Head of Service Office of the Head of the Local Government Service P.
