MEDA provides management, technical and consulting expertise to MEDA projects and to a wide range of clients, helping as many of the poor as possible by creating business solutions to poverty.\u00a0 To find out more about MEDA, please visit our website at\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">www.meda.org<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Field Project Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Position Summary<br \/>\n<\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Leading a team of field staff, the Field Project Manager\u00a0(FPM) ensures effective implementation of project strategies, adjusting course as needed based on interim performance, to achieve life-of-project performance targets. This position involves frequent travel to project locations within Ghana. The FPM will report to and work closely with MEDA\u2019s North America-based Sr. Project Manager tasked to supervise this Project. This is a full-time indefinite term contract for the duration of the project, subject to continued\u00a0donor funding.\u00a0Start date is ASAP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b>Project Implementation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as MEDA\u2019s representative in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring daily management of the project and assuming full accountability of project results<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring project performance tracking<\/li>\n<li>Implementing security protocols<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Project Financial Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining strict budgetary adherence and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring review and timely submission of regular financial reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Project Compliance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring effective and efficient management of project\u2019s compliance with planning, monitoring, evaluation, performance and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adherence to local legal requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Management of Field Staff<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing the management of all field staff, including recruitment, selection, supervision and ongoing performance evaluations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Relationship Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing successful relationships with the Government of Ghana, donor agencies, the business community and other stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Managing successful relationships with Key Facilitating Partners; ensuring positive relationships are maintained and project targets are achieved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New Business Development<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting, as time allows, the Sr. Director\u2019s new business development efforts in-country and regionally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Job Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Follow all Organizational Policies and Procedures<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Demonstration of MEDA Core Performance Values:\u00a0 Respect, Collaboration, Entrepreneurship and Accountability<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Keep up to date on all required training<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Support effective Staff Management and supportive work environment<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>A minimum of ten years of senior level experience leading and managing complex, large scale, multi-million dollar economic and enterprise development initiatives (or similar private sector experience)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>University degree (ideally Master\u2019s) in international development, business administration or related field<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Appreciation and support of MEDA\u2019s faith, values and goals<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Fluency (written and verbal) in English is required<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Strong understanding of: business\/financial decision making in competitive market environments; inclusive subsector development and value chain development facilitation methods<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Proven leadership abilities with a multiple field office environment and relationships with North American-based HQ specialists and management<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Functional experience in marketing, business planning, business growth advisory service or related areas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Direct private sector experience is desirable<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Demonstrated ability to mobilize stakeholders into partnerships and alliances, lead and facilitate collaborative processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Experience in using commercial business development services (BDS) providers to upgrade farmer, entrepreneur and enterprise competencies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Prior work experience in Ghana or comparable country context is preferred<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Understanding and appreciation of business principles, international development and MEDA\u2019s approach of creating business solutions to poverty<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) invites applications for a\u00a0Field Project Manager\u00a0position for a large scale, long term agriculture development project\u00a0in Ghana.
