The ARB Apex Bank Limited is a \u201cmini\u201d-central bank for the Rural & Community Banks (RCBs). The Bank was registered as a public limited liability company in January, 2000. The shareholders are the RCBs. It was granted a banking license in June, 2001 and was admitted to the Bankers Clearing House as the 19th member in August, 2001. The Bank has 11 branch offices throughout the country, which are as follows: Accra, Cocoa House, Kumasi, Sunyani, Bolgatanga, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Koforidua, Hohoe, Tamale and Wa.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Undertake legal research and analyses, as well as prepare legal opinions to guide management and the RCBs in their decision-making
\n\u2022 Prepare reports on legal correspondences assigned by the Head of Department
\n\u2022 Provide legal advice to the Human Resource unit on labour related issues, including union negotiations, contract of employment, policies and procedures and dispute resolution processes during arbitration
\n\u2022 Support the Head of Department in the preparation of the departmental budget
\n\u2022 coordinate the work of external solicitors and legal consultants and report on the progress of legal matters referred to them by the Bank
\n\u2022 Provide support to the development and monitoring of anti-Money laundering \/ combating the financing of terrorism (AML\/CFT) programmes to ensure that Apex Bank and RCB operations are in compliance with the regulatory standards
\n\u2022 Provide support in the enforcement of policies, procedures, regulations in all aspects and levels of business, as well as, provide guidance on compliance matters for both Apex Bank and the RCBs. Lead in the development of the compliance culture in the bank and the RCBs
\n\u2022 Represent the Department on the Bank\u2019s disciplinary committee
\n\u2022 Provide support to the Head of Legal and compliance as and when required<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 At least 4 years post call experience with a reputable company or law firm banking sector experience will be an added advantage
\n\u2022 Experience ni litigation with be an added advantage<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Ability to draft clear, professional and legally robust correspondence, contractual documentation, policies and other documentation as required
\n\u2022 Knowledge of all the laws and regulations relating to the banking industry
\n\u2022 Good knowledge in court rules and procedures
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and understanding of banking operations and practice
\n\u2022 Knowledge of compliance in the banking environment<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills
\n\u2022 Excellent communication (verbal\/written) skills
