The project, set to be implemented in Ghana, will contribute to the country\u2019s National Malaria Control Strategic Plan 2014-2020 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Driver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are currently seeking dynamic individuals to join the team on the implementation of malaria service delivery activities in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The project will operate over a five-year period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Responsible for transporting IM staff, partners and materials to project sites, including loading and unloading of vehicles. He\/she ensures that all vehicles are well maintained and are driven in a safe manner, in accordance with the local laws and policies, strictly following traffic rules and regulations. This position will be based in Kumasi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers at all times<\/li>\n<li>Treats all passengers aboard Impact Malaria\u00a0 vehicles courteously and respectfully, regardless of gender, age, religion or nationality<\/li>\n<li>Keeps supervisor informed if driving at night or if driving into areas considered potentially unsafe<\/li>\n<li>Uses vehicle for official use only<\/li>\n<li>Undertakes delivery of materials and documents with instructions from supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Assists passengers with schedule and information and direction on routes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Repair and maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keeps vehicles clean at all times<\/li>\n<li>Refuels vehicles when required<\/li>\n<li>Carries out necessary inspections on the vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Completes daily safety and maintenance checks of vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Performs minor maintenance and repairs on vehicles (e.g. replace bulbs, refill radiator water, change tires)<\/li>\n<li>Ensures timely engine oil change and other lubricants i.e. brake fluid, engine oil, when required<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that vehicle maintenance for all vehicles is planned for and done on time.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures license is renewed on expiry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains accurate records including vehicle logs, fuel, oil change, maintenance record and others as required<\/li>\n<li>Follows Impact Malaria safety and security guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Notifies supervisor of any safety or maintenance concerns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safety and Security<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures sure seat belts are properly worn by all passengers at all times<\/li>\n<li>Does not permit unauthorized adults or children to travel in Impact Malaria vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Complies with all applicable safety requirements, laws and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Conducts regular safety checks on ALL vehicles, documents findings and follows up on action points.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the Safety and Security committee of the office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports the maintenance of safety and security in the office building<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic safety checks;
