Jobs 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Identify, evaluate, manage, introduce defensive safeguards and monitor the performance thereof against all variations of potential risk exposures, both of an internal or external nature (Strategic, Operational, Compliance, Liquidity, Product and Market, Political, Economic, Reputation etc.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Manager, Security Risk Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with leadership to ensure that risks are identified and managed to support and protect the strategic vision of the company, by proactively managing and balancing all risk levels. Contribute to the facilitation of the organization\u2019s risk appetite definition and tolerance levels. Implement the overarching Group Risk Management Framework (including Business Continuity (BCM), Crisis Management (CRM) and Insurance) that supports specific lines of business, with the Risk Management team. Implement a comprehensive Risk Management programme, supported by an established set of policies and procedures that govern risk management approaches and provide clear channels of transparent, timely communication to OpCo Executive management<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the Group Risk and Compliance in establishing and quantifying the organization\u2019s \u2018risk appetite\u2019, i.e. the level of risk the OpCo can accept, risk bearing capacity and risk tolerances<\/li>\n<li>Lead the introduction of a robust, comprehensive risk management model\/framework in all areas of the business (ERM, BCM, CRM Insurance etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate in building and entrenching a risk-aware culture, by formulating Risk Management education content and arranging appropriate briefings and trainings<\/li>\n<li>Implement Group Risk Management strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures in line with the overarching business goals and ensure that the OpCo maintains and improves its Risk Management leadership positioning and reputation<\/li>\n<li>Oversee risk assessments, evaluation of risks and mitigation of risks and ownership in all business units. Support the business to implement effective risk registers that will enable the development and maintenance of an OpCo risk register<\/li>\n<li>Identify, consolidate and report anomalies, common and future potential risks<\/li>\n<li>Regularly liaise with Executive Management and CEO on various risk matters especially tracking, ownership and mitigation of risk items identified<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate updating of risk items identified on risk management system<\/li>\n<li>Define the standards and set targets for performance across various activities and identify the parameters for measurement of performance<\/li>\n<li>Report at process and functional level<\/li>\n<li>Review and identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure implementation of the Group Risk Escalation and Acceptance Policy;<\/li>\n<li>Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate issues in line with the Group Risk Escalation and Acceptance Policy<\/li>\n<li>Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution<\/li>\n<li>Actively ensure the identification of risks associated with existing or new processes and take measures to introduce adequate controls within the operational business processes<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback on any challenges to the Executive to facilitate continuous improvement and mitigate risks<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that ethics is part of the identity of the OpCo through the implementation of ethics governance, management and culture change strategy and ongoing ethics training to support the ethics strategy<\/li>\n<li>Ensure insurance programme is properly coordinated to ensure critical assets in the operation have adequate insurance coverage and is backed by effective insurance claim processes to support the OpCo strategy and ultimately MTN\u2019s overall strategic vision in the business<\/li>\n<li>Drive the implementation of the Group BCM Framework that addresses various risk considerations that are prevalent to Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Security, across different lines of business in the OpCo<\/li>\n<li>Ensure provision is made for effective and timely responses, resumptions, recoveries and restorations of the OpCo\u2019s operations and business activities through well-defined and tested business continuity plans.<\/li>\n<li>Risk Reporting to various governance levels (Ethics, BCM, ERM, CRM Insurance)<\/li>\n<li>Timely Risk Escalations and Acceptance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Context:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MTN is entering a new phase in its lifecycle where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which MTN operates.\u00a0 The Senior Manager \u2013 Risk Management must therefore ensure successful delivery in the context of:<\/li>\n<li>Evolving industry ecosystems<\/li>\n<li>Fluid regulatory landscapes and consequent lack of regulatory certainty regarding new market and product structures<\/li>\n<li>Rapidly changing Regulatory and Compliance burdens<\/li>\n<li>Pressured significant financial capital outlay for infrastructural investment<\/li>\n<li>New imperatives concerning data privacy and security and building strong digital trust partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Rapid adoption of new routes to innovation and technologies<\/li>\n<li>Volatile macroeconomic and political environments in the OpCo and the region<\/li>\n<li>Constant dynamic local challenges in regulatory environments<\/li>\n<li>Mitigating risks through business intelligence to maximize business impact<\/li>\n<li>Management of customer and supplier expectations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Enhancing the OpCo and MTN reputational position as a leading network and system provider<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0Degree in Risk Management\/Operational Management\/Business\/Finance<\/li>\n<li>Post Graduate qualification an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualification in Risk Management is advantageous (CRMA, PRM, CRISC)<\/li>\n<li>English and French (as an advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years of Risk Management Experience, with at least 3 years in an Enterprise Risk \/ Risk at managerial level in a medium to large organization<\/li>\n<li>Experience in risk assessments is mandatory<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a medium to large organization<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of risk environments for telco industry sector is advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Professional competencies:\/Technical<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business Risk Management<\/li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge and understanding of IT risk, control and auditing methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Business
