\n\u2022 Supporting the Team leader of the GIAE country Programme in his tasks to promote relevant subject areas in the Ghanaian agricultural and food sector
\n\u2022 Liaising with political partners at the national, regional and district level
\n\u2022 Creating and maintaining good working relations with the project partners, the contractor, the consultants, relevant farmer organisations, private sector associations and companies in agricultural production, processing and marketing
\n\u2022 Designing, supervising and monitoring the implementation of cooperation and service contracts with various partners concluded directly via GIZ
\n\u2022 Ensuring quality of report from implementing partners, matching grant partners and service providers
\n\u2022 Supporting the M&E officer of GIC and report monitoring data
\n\u2022 Serving as link to German bilateral market oriented agriculture program and to other GIX projects especially in the agricultural sector
\n\u2022 Identifying and promoting innovations in the areas of responsibility and knowledge management<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Provides professional advice to partners and cooperates with important stakeholders, on order clarification, identifying needs, developing concepts and strategies and providing technical input
\n\u2022 Advises value chain committees, associations and interest groups of farmers, processors, traders and other stakeholders forming part of the value chain selections
\n\u2022 Supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to add value to the GIC target groups in the value chains rice and maize
\n\u2022 Assist to develop and implement mechanization concepts for maize and rice smallholders
\n\u2022 Contributes to preparing and implementing the coordination process, joint project\/programme activities and work in the regions
\n\u2022 Formulates job descriptions and terms of reference and selects and supervises third parties while carrying out project\/programme activities, including performance evaluations
\n\u2022 Monitors the development and implementation of project\/programme plans and activities in close consultation with counterparts
\n\u2022 Deals with the designs, preparation and implementation of workshops, seminars and other events on issues related to the project\/programme\u2019s area of activity
\n\u2022 Develops and organises quality assurance measures and suggests necessary changes, improvements and initiatives
\n\u2022 Monitors project progress and the activities of components, reviews reports and documents on the progress of programmes, identifies bottlenecks and recommends alternative management options to the team leader
\n\u2022 Ensures that the services provided by the project are aligned with the partner\u2019s needs<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Professional experience in marketing of agricultural products and local market development<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 A proven track record in a managerial position
\n\u2022 Fluent written and oral knowledge of English, a working knowledge of German is an asset
\n\u2022 Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to tbe performed corresponding measures are agreed with management<\/p>\n
