With offices in the US and Ghana, Aspire seeks to farm locally desired insects as a way to address food insecurity. In Ghana, Aspire farms the palm weevil larva, a local delicacy that has been traditionally harvested. Aspire Ghana seeks to rapidly scale its production, co-develop packaged products and to take advantage of export opportunities to other West African countries<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Data Entry Clerk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role description<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Aspire Food Group Ghana is looking for a tech savvy, detail-oriented, organized and analytical individual to join the organization as a Data Entry Clerk. The Clerk will support the organization by recording and entering critical data into our information database. The individual will also support the organization through: administration, research, project execution and analysis activities. The individual must also be comfortable working in farm-like conditions. The Data Entry Clerk reports directly to the Director of Operations. The individual must be able to transport themselves to the on-site location of Aspire Ghana\u2019s farm on KNUST Campus on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks\/duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recording and maintaining paper data records<\/li>\n<li>Entering data points into the information database<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing data points through the use of formulas and pivot tables<\/li>\n<li>Proofreading entered data to ensure accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Communicating important information to members of the Operations team and across different parts of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Observing Farm Associates and ensuring that performance standards are being met<\/li>\n<li>Completing an activity checklist daily<\/li>\n<li>Support in farming activities when needed<\/li>\n<li>Support Farm Associates in locating specimens and materials<\/li>\n<li>Sending meeting requests<\/li>\n<li>Taking accurate and detailed minutes of meetings when required<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports<\/li>\n<li>Other tasks upon request<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requisite Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor Degree or Diploma<\/li>\n<li>\u200eMinimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills in English (verbal &amp; written) and Twi (verbal)<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>High level of flexibility<\/li>\n<li>High level of proactivity<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well with limited direction as well as in teams<\/li>\n<li>\u200eExcellent time management and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>\u200eGood problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Fast learner<\/li>\n<li>Strong IT skills<\/li>\n<li>\u200eStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Google Suite for Business (Drive, Docs, Sheet, Slides) preferred<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated interest in agriculture, environmental sustainability and\/or food security an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>All documents should be in PDF format and email must be titled *Data Entry Clerk*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date<\/strong>: As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation<\/strong>: Commensurate with experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong>: Mobile allowance immediately and health insurance after a 3-month probation period<\/p>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application:<\/strong>\u00a0Please submit a cover letter\/letter of intention addressed to Shobhita Soor (President, Aspire Food Group Ghana) along with your CV.
