Songtaba, in collaboration with ActionAid Ghana and the Big Lottery Fund of UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seeks to recruit a Programme Co-ordinator to implement the project. The substantive officer will be based in Yendi.<\/p>\n<p>Provide strategic direction in the context of Songtaba-ActionAid Ghana and Big Lottery Fund Partnership Agreement<br \/>\nSupport the management, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the SVAGS project<br \/>\nIdentify and harmonize the different capacities individual organisations bring into the dynamics of the operations of the coalition for effective implementation of the SVAGS project<br \/>\nReport to the Board of Directors<br \/>\nContribute to the development of innovative campaign strategies based on your grassroots experiences towards the realization of women&#8217;s rights in the region<br \/>\nProvide leadership on strategic women&#8217;s rights issues during processes involving the Songtaba council, the Board and the district gender forums<br \/>\nAny other responsibilities assigned by the Board of Directors<br \/>\nDuration of Contract: 2 years                                                   Salary: Negotiable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A good first degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or Rural\/Community Development<br \/>\nA minimum of three (3) years post qualification working experience in the development sector<br \/>\nKnowledge in research methods and data analysis is essential<br \/>\nExperience in community work with gender focus is an advantage<br \/>\nExcellent command of written and spoken English, good interpersonal skills and team player, computer literacy, fluent in at least one of the local dialects in the Northern region preferably Dagbani\/Konkomba<br \/>\nAbility to develop media and advocacy materials; and willingness to travel frequently to work in remote communities of the Northern Region is highly desirable<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should submit typed application letter, CV and details of 2 references to Box 101, Yendi or send by email to: <strong>songtaba2005@yahoo.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Songtaba is a non profit making coalition committed to the realisation of the aspirations and rights of women and children, especially girls.
